Users must follow instructions from fire, police, emergency, and agency command personnel at all times, including evacuation orders.

• Roof access, power lines, cables, wind, ladders, scaffolding, glare, and elevated work create serious risks of injury or death.
• Crews must follow official product manuals, agency safety procedures, training requirements, and incident action plans.
• Deployment should be planned in advance, not improvised during an active incident.

Selection and use of wildfire structure shielding is a decision made by the purchasing agency or organization, not by this website. Before material is ordered or deployed, the responsible party should evaluate the structures to be protected, the exposure expected in the area, the crews and time available to install and remove material, anchoring and attachment methods appropriate to each building, storage and inspection between seasons, and any permitting, environmental, historic-preservation, or procurement rules that apply.
